How to Recycle Your Computer?

· First of all, don't forget to back up your data before you erase them from your hard drive. Using the DBAN method, you will not be able to recover your erased data.

· Before sending your old computer to recycle, make sure that you clean or wipe the memory off already because your old computer may contain the sensitive data or personal information.

· Contact recycling centers or computer stores in your local, some recycling centers or some computer stores provide recycling service for customer.

· Although, your computer is not working but some parts of your old computer may useable, thus you can sell working parts of your computer on the online sites.

· If your old computer is still working, donate it to charity organization, school, library, or other people who need to take your old computer.

· Contact the manufacturer which you previously bought your computer, you could send it back to the source because most computer companies have a program to recycle computers. If they provide a recycling program, you should to ask about instructions on how to send the old computer to them.
